An attractive and economical way to finish the exterior of both old and new buildings. Timber cladding is an ever increasingly popular choice for finishing the interior and exterior of various buildings. Timber cladding is an environmentally friendly, low maintenance, weather resistant building material, creating a new look as well as adding protection from the elements. Timber cladding adds a warm look to any building and the natural grain and the variety of colours which natural wood offers, enhances the overall appearance.
Larch is valued for it’s tough, waterproof and durable qualities making it ideal for exposed elevations and resistant to rot when in contact with the ground. Top quality knot free timber is ideal for exterior cladding of buildings and interior panelling. Larch wood cladding is low maintenance and does not need to be treated. The honey and silver tones of new and gentle ageing natural larch are beautiful and as it weathers and turns silver is a perfect tone to suit any space.
Larch cladding offers a cost effective cladding option in comparison to other types of timber such as oak.
The waney edge larch is on average between 175mm – 225mm in width. but can be more or less than this i.e. as narrow as 100mm and as wide as 300mm.
Waney edge cladding is a very traditional style of cladding created by overlapping boards sliced straight from the tree and offers the ultimate classic rustic look.
Each board has one waney edge with bark on and one square edge.
The boards are laid to display the waney edge, with an overlap of 40 – 50mm.
Waney edge boards are supplied green* (wet) with a sawn finish, cut from logs harvested in well-managed native woodlands sourced from Ceredigion.
